Become a PADI dive instructor and change people’s lives.
The IDC (Instructor development course) begins with independent self-study and encompasses two PADI programs: The Assistant Instructor Course (AI) and the Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (OWSI).
The IDC is the heart of PADI Instructor training.
During the course, you'll apply your dive knowledge and skills while learning to use the PADI System of diver education in the classroom, in confined and open water. The IDC allows you to learn quickly and effectively with state-of-the-art educational materials, the Guide to Teaching and latest PADI videos.
The programs are performance based and candidate centered, thus you will receive feedback throughout the course informing you of your progress and level of proficiency. As a result, you can relax while learning, knowing that mistakes are part of the process.
The IDC's instructional system design and cutting edge teaching media also makes learning easier. With modern educational principles and manageable, positive learning structure in a relaxed atmosphere, the IDC is not only more effective, but it is also more efficient. The goal is to create a low-stress environment in which you can learn to function as a PADI Instructor. This makes the IDC challenging, yet an enjoyable learning experience.
After successful completion of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), instructor candidates must attend and successfully complete a PADI Instructor Examination (IE).
Our Silver and Platinum packages in Sharm el Sheikh usually start with the 2 day Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor course, followed by another 2 days of Instructor Development course (IDC) preparation.
The IDC at Sinai Divers is conducted over 11 days to give the candidates enough time to be more than fully prepared for the Instructor Examination (IE). EANx/Nitrox User and Instructor courses are automatically included in our IDC and can be done either on the last day of the IDC or after the IE.
More Specialty courses included in our Gold and Platinum packages will be offered after the IE.
