Marsa Alam is located in the touristically less developed South of mainland Egypt, 270 km South of Hurghada. During the last two decades it has grown from a small coastal village with only a handful of small stone huts into a small town. It’s importance lies in the location on the main coastal through-road, at the main cross-roads to Edfu in the Nile valley and to the recently growing tourism.
Marsa Alam can now be reached more comfortably with direct flights from several European countries arriving at the new airport.
The “The Oasis Dive Resort” is located 20 km north of Marsa Alam on a privat beach stretching along the Red Sea coast.
The resort and the diving centre are a joint venture of Sinai Divers and Werner Lau Diving Centers. Due to this cooperation a high standard of service, professionalism and great diving is guaranteed.
Well-known dive spots such as Elphinstone, Dolphin House and Abbu Dabbab are part of our diving area as well as all the local reefs and bays. Apart from all the small creatures which can be seen there, these reefs are always good for a surprise. Dugongs, dolphins, eagle rays, manta rays and sharks – anything is possible. Beautiful diving in a relaxed atmosphere far away from the crowds distinguishes “The Oasis”!
We collect you from most hotels in the Marsa Alam region and take you back to your hotel after your dive trip.

Big Welcome for the first Edelweiss flight in Sharm el Sheikh International Airport!
Edelweiss resumed flights to Sharm every Friday after stopping for 4 years.
The first Edelweiss direct flight from Zurich arrived yesterday morning at Sharm el Sheikh Airport.
The flight departed at 06.43 local time from Zurich Airport in Switzerland with an Airbus A320- 214 with 151 tourists on board and arrived at 10:35 local time as the first Swiss tourist group. The plane was greeted traditionally with a water salute to celebrate the arrival of the aircraft. The ceremony was excellent. They were received by Pilot Hussein Al-Saeed, Deputy Director of Sharm el Sheikh International Airport, where the Public Relations team welcomed the tourists coming on this trip and distributed roses to the tourist and provided all the necessary facilities and quickly finished the arrival procedures, and applied precautionary measures and social distancing to preserve the safety of travelers and workers.
Also Turkish Airlines resumed on Saturday flights between its capital Istanbul and Sharm El-Sheikh, after almost a year of suspension.

Dear guests, tour operators, friends & staff,
We still remember June 2020 when we started a survey of how many guests would book the Oasis if we re- open the Resort in October.
75% of all who replied would come to Oasis and so we tried to make it happen.
But now in view of the current Corona situation it is making it impossible for us to open the resort in October.
Considering the case numbers development, the permanent changing conditions, the legal situation, the uncertainty of flights and that nobody knows how long Egypt will be on the red list we have no choice but to reschedule the opening date.
Together with our loyal staff we will withstand until Easter 2021 and target the date of March 25. 2021 for the reopening of the Oasis Dive Resort, just in time for the Easter holidays.
Hopefully by then we all can travel, dive and enjoy our vacations again.
😷Stay healthy!
